LOL, whats ur render time on a 128x128 icon there?what, 1 sec, 2 secs?
Hehe - I never render my icons THAT small. I render big and then edit. Usually I render to .PNG to have a transparent background and then move over to PSP for making the icons. BTW the icons aren't normal desktop app icons, but rather icons / images used in our web-based system.
How about Blender for animation?
At the rate I'm learning how to use Blender... I'll tell you in 6 months.
(I'm used to 3D max)
got any samples of ur work for us?![]()
http://www.pixelpost.org/I'll try to get my website up and running this weekend.
I just have no idea how to create an online image galary...
But, i think if i actually sit down for 30 min and google it, I should be able to do it.

deviant art man, deviant art.
Try using Vector based graphics for that real, but not too real look. (if u understand what i'm saying)
Or you can render in 3D, and work over it in corel draw
Jy moet regtig corel meer begin gebruik, vectors rule!![]()

Ek doen! En ja, vectors FTW! Ek design AL my logos, brochures, business cards ens in vectors. Corel se vector-trace is ook baie cool op eenvoudige images!![]()
Be hardcore and write your own! That's what I did...
3D:
Maya > 3dsMax > Lightwave > Everything else
2D Editing:
Photoshop > Paint Shop Pro > Gimp > Everything else
Vecor:
Illustrator > CorelDRAW > Everything else
Are you insane!?
I know that I'm a programmer, and we live by the unspoken moral value : "Impossible just takes a little longer". And I know that it's fairly easy...
But I've never done web coding.. I'm C# and VB. Attempting that will be diving in the deep end of the ocean... and it will take looooooooooooooooooong
(My webpage is my playground to learn web development and stuff)
