Mine's not open. It's stacked. The pita is toasted in the sandwich toaster with cheese, ham, and tomato, and while that's happening I fry 3 eggs. When both are ready, the toasted pita goes on the bottom, then an egg, then more ham, then topped with 2 more eggs...
