What? Not even 1 comment on my pics? well theres goes the discount for you guys on the burger and milkshake delivery that Im started next week.

Looks pretty nice I guess. You mean the milkshake/burger or the sausages?

She uses the red spice from Durban yes. Makes it mild usually but I'll ask her to make it bite a bit for the bunny chow. Now for the unsliced bread.

Yeah go that route... Will probably be better than most restaurants, home-cooking usually is when it comes to curry.

I struggle to get the balance of the spices right...keep trying to get it like my mom used to make and get close but not close enough.

Can you ask her? Otherwise keep playing, try and identify what type of flavour is reduced/not there/too much there, and then try to single out the spice.. Could also just be a mindset thing.

Said it before - start using imgur for your images. Hosting pics on mybb for well-plated food doesn't do the food justice.

I just thought it odd to tell another dude 'I dig your sausage'. start a thread on sausage making please. I think there is one. I want to dabble in this dark art soon.

Yes I did and the pickles. The only thing I didn't make was the mustard. But I'm sure that's easy enough to do

The burger pic was quite uninspiring to be honest even if it was actually good. The most interesting thing in the description, the 12 yolk teppinyaka, wasn't even featured in the shots. I couldn't get a sense of the quality of the cooking on the meat, or how well balanced the burger was, or the chips.

I can afford to be lazy with my food photography because I'm not impressing anyone but the missus, and I just like a record of what I've done. If I was going pro I'd need to step up my game a lot. Unfortunately (and I really mean unfortunately because I hate the trend) food is all about presentation these days.

You impress me.

Tough crowd. Anybody near randburg, Northriding and surrounds that wants a chicken and bacon burger on Friday?
