Was great. But every time I use a rub I ask myself why I didn’t just stick to salt, pepper and butter.
Yeah I don't use marinades and rubs often anymore. Specially if it is a good cut. Sometimes not even much salt.
 
I want to try some low carb veg meals (so not that soy stuff they put in everything) and my wife can't have red meat anymore for health reasons. So now we mostly eat chicken and fish.
Something like an instant-pot opens up a lot of possibilities with things like beans, chickpeas etc. Mostly because you don't need to soak them and they cook quickly either on their own or with ingredients as a stew or whatver.
