Made this. Not sure what it is. Onion, pepper, creamed spinach, pork sausage and egg.

Was very tasty but should have added cheese to the inside...
 
That bunny needs to overflow with gravy but otherwise it looks good ;)

Had vetkoek & mince for supper, churches are still useful for some things.
 
Really excited for supper tonight. Got a massive prime rib on the bone from Frankie Fenner's when I was down in CT.

Been dry-brining for the last 24 hours. Will get a pre-sear, two hours in the sous vide at 54C then a post sear.

This was ridiculous. Made as described above. Served with bok choy sauteed with some garlic, soy sauce and cream.

My parents are going down to CT end of this month, gonna see if they can bring more.. Don't think any place in Durban sells meat this awesome.

did you try searing with a blow torch as yet

I've had a blowtorch for a while, just bought one from a hardware store and it works quite well. It's out of gas though, need to get a new canister. I think it would have been better than the cast iron, the steak was so big it sapped all the heat out quickly.
