Crap oxtail, it's tough, oily, no gravy/sauce & has fsckall flavour. I would hide my head in shame if I had to feed my guests this. But I'll just go hmm lovely. Gonna hit kfc on my way home :D

You did it totally wrong.

That's all that can be said about this.

You lack comprehension skills, that's all that can be said about this.

Okay, okay.

Did you mean that this particular batch of oxtail was bad ... or that ALL oxtail is bad.

If you said that only your particular batch of oxtail was uncookable I would understand and I would try and beg your forgiveness.

If you said that ALL oxtail are uncookable ...

Oh and lay off the weed.

I'm making a beef roll on the spit this afternoon. Now I have a couple of questions, and would love some recommendations from you fellas.

1. Beef Roll
- How can I prep it for the spit? Give me some ideas in terms of rub/marinade/injections/spice whatever. Beef roll is normal dryish (because I have to over cook it for the family /sad panda) but need to get some flavour into this piece of meat. I'll probably stuff it with garlic as a given.

2. I need something to go with it. Obviously no starch. Ingredients I have: bacon  cheese mushrooms green/yellow/red pepper, green beans, spinach. Anything else I can get to add with that to make some kind of salad or side dish for the roll?

Keep in mind that my food should be ready by 5pm, and eksdom has decided to shed my load from 3-6pm.

Lol obviously ponder is with guests. I would rather have had you come round here, made a beautiful silverside pot roast and couldn't talk anyone into joining us for dinner.

*drool*
Whats the pile bottom left? Looks like a sushi stack with a load of sauce and sprinkly things over the top. Is their wasabi sufficiently pungent?

Oh yes. I asked for extra pungent and they delivered, whether coincidental or not. Was much stronger than usual, and I haven't asked before.

Volcano. Six pieces of Futomaki/large salmon maki, deep fried, topped with spicy mayo and teriyaki sauce, and sprinkled with deep fried Tempura crumbs, spring onion and caviar.

Hardly see these guys in Cape Town; kinda dig them though...

Never had them.
