Haha. I love quorn. Some of their stuff is really nice :p

My Out-Laws are veggieterribles and I've had many a dinner with them where those sad "chicken, steak, hotdog" wannabe's were on the plate. I have to say though they are so much better than Fry's products *gag*

Hmm, I like some of the Fry's ones too. Their burgers aren't too bad

I made baked Ravioli (and some other shapes) with a spicy mince, cheese and onion filling and a delicious tomato, chili and garlic sauce for dipping.

Didn't make the Pasta as I am lucky enough to live a km or so away from a Pasta Factory that sells it fresh daily at R30 a kg. So never make my own when I can buy fantastic quality on my doorstep.

Next MYBB meet is at Sharon's place

all in favour say aye

I tried to make some of those Fry Spicy Sausages for the Out-Laws on their last visit and the pan was just fat. Horrible, not a fan of quorn but find the quality better. Mother out law said it had something to do with Soya or lack thereof.

nee *** I'm antisocial and like food more than people. happy to share the location of my pasta factory shop though if anyone wants it. Best part about having them close. If I have to have family over, I take them my bowls and they make their delicious meals (lasagna, gnocchi and other yummy foods) in the dish, so it looks like I did it. . I get to take credit and do none of the work. Which I normally love but it's nice to have that option there for times when I don't want too.

Yeah, quorn is mostly mushrooms. Not sure about Fry's though.

That ravioli looks awesome btw.

Quorn and Fry's?

Good lawdie, the pathetic Scottish culinary standard has some real staying power.

The British must have destroyed your spirits over the centuries. It all makes sense now. It's no wonder Mel the abusive twat embraced the William Wallace persecution persona so well...

Lol. I live with 3 vegetarians. That's South African vegetarians btw.

I had a friend comment recently about me making rice and potatoes with a Sunday roast and I was confused as to why because that is how I grew up. Meat, 3 veg -1 being potatoes and rice and gravy. I assumed that was how everyone did a roast (pre Banting days) and she said she never does rice with a roast. She is from the UK though so wondered if it was just her. Assuming you are a Saffer?
Yeah South African :). It's something I noticed my grandparents doing, we didn't seem to do it though. There's already a yummy cripsy potato and meat for the gravy to be friends with - the rice feels out of place. Rice was more an accompaniment to curry, stew, mince etc.

Agreed, in general I think one starch is enough for a plate.

Pork loin chops and mash.

The pork rind I'll cut off and try and fry to a crisp.

And the mash will be heavily spiked with butter and grated cheese.

I'll endeavour to post pics.

It's a bit late already, but I got home late.

We had Cereal for supper. I was in a 'could not be bothered mood'. Kids were thrilled now I can't sleep cause I'm starving and deeply regretting my laziness.

That's my 14 year old daughters favourite dinner. She's a fussy eater and often won't eat what I cook
