That does look very good. They still do the best Lemon Meringue pie ever.

Ya I noticed that the other day on a pic I posted from my phone that looked bright and light. When I looked on the image on the PC all the color was leached and it looked dull as ****. Don't know why.

i will know better next time

Chicken and rice noodles stir fry

This is Kudu mince.

I go this and a packet of Kudu boerewors for quickly fixing a colleague's PC.

That Kudu mince was awesome. With a tomato augmentation, garlic and just the right amount of salt and spices and with a cheesy white sauce ... no-one can lay claim to anything other than my testimony ... it was delicious.

I'm still very patient and allowing with some forumites' snide comments (one in particular) ...

Oxtail - was nice enough but won't be making it again.

You still have some extra servings don't you?
If I may:-
it doesn't seem to be the right colour or texture for oxtail.
Should be dark and rich from red wine.

Ja it was such a anti-climatic meal. So many hours of babysitting and it was just blah. The recipe said no potato and I deviated and added them and that changed the rich red to muddy brown. It tasted more stew like then the delicious rich oxtail I hoped for. I detest blah food, hubby calls blah food slop and normally I disagree with him but tonight I was 100% I agreement with him, slop. Such a waste of money.

Wife made beef kofta curry and caulirice. I'm not sold on caulirice but the curry was good

I'm busy with a roast chcken with all the trimmings. We decided it felt too much like a Sunday to miss out.

Trying this seasoning hours beforehand and letting it dry in the fridge story.

Meat is certainly much redder for it. Will judge the taste later.

Cooked in some butter and thyme (sadly not fresh...need to add to herb garden).

And yes, lazy/unhealthy I know. Didn't feel like veg or salad.

Nice cook there.

Pork chop stroganoff with pickles and egg noodles. Was good but the plating is awful so embarrassed to show it

Interesting choice on the pickles.

I need to buy a grill pan I think. Largely for presentation.

Is Le Cruset what it claims to be? Or just marketing?

If you want to buy it for presentation it will be a waste.

If you are buying it for cooking.... You'll be happy for years.

I'll give up many things in my kitchen but my Le Creuset pans will never even come close to being one of those things.

I have their non-stick saute pan as well as frying pan. Also have the cast iron griddle pan and cast iron skillet.

Lifetime guarantee says a lot. And I believe they pretty much swop out without questions asked.
