Pork steak with mash and bell pepper sauce

I seem to recall you are the Polenta man? But I might have been wrong.

If you had to do this meal with pork shops and the Bell Pepper Sauce how would you do it with Polenta?

I think it could work with thick polenta just as easily as mashed potato, no difference otherwise.

Made mussels with white wine and cream, and a garlic roll on the side.
 
Been in PTA this week so haven't had a chance to cook; I'm just eating whatever gets put in front of me.

I sauteed onions, lemon zest, garlic and chili in butter, then added a cup of white wine. Steamed the mussels in that for around 3-4 minutes, then removed them. Added about 3/4 cup of cream, some fressshly squeezed lemon juice and some parsley, then reduced that and poured it over the mussels.
 
Ten minutes max from prep to plate, you have to find decent mussels though. It took me ages to find unfrozen mussels here.

i havnt bought in a while but there is a place that keeps fresh and was around R60 a kg

the fresh ones though you need to clean them 1st

Yeah cleaning was a bitch but took only a few minutes.

I won't bother with the frozen half shells.
 
Lightly smoked a dry brined prime rib roast, then finished in the oven for some beef sandwiches.
