chicken soup with 2 cans oysters. First the children said they do not eat oysters, then with the meal they wanted more.

With the odd exception here and there, I cannot be bothered to go through all the trouble of cooking for myself when I am alone.

Loreal would disagree...

What are things like there? Assume you're there on business or is it pleasure?

Things are.. How can I put it... Crazy. There isn't really a government or any one in charge AS SUCH. The governor of this (isolated) province lets all his officials pretty much do what they want to keep them happy. This leaves him to tend to his business. You can get through a road block for $10 or $500, depends on the mood of the official. I'm doing business with some fairly high ranking people here, so it's not too bad in that respect. It's very cowboys and indians up here.

Had a T-Bone tonight, bit dry and overcooked, but not too bad all-in-all. I'm heading to the border early tomorrow, I will be glad to be back in Zambia, that's for sure. Simba beer's alright, but not easy to find a cold one.

Who the hell goes to the DRC for pleasure? :D

I don't think anyone. EVER!
