The problem with Durbanite butchers in Gauteng. I prefer the ones from United or Khans. Much easier on the tummy and usually taste better.

The problem with charous from Gauteng.... weak guts :p

Haha. No man they don't put lekker lamb in the sausages. too much colouring and too much spice. I want to taste the meat not only spice and food colouring.

You can't handle the spice.. What kind charou are you :p

Well tonight was a chilli Verde burrito and a carnitas platter. Burrito has Mexican rice, refried beans, cheese, carnitas pork. The platter is make your own just with no cheese and tomatoe stuff, can't recall the name.

sorry no idea dude, i'll find out for you, remind me tomorrow, the restaurant at the apartment i stay at make the mexican food.

He said basically. Use canned beans, mash em then you slow cook them then mix in a oil/lard base to it. And ya that's about it

That's a funny thread

DJ's method:

"Step 1: drain and wash canned beans thoroughly (bean of your choice - red kidney is fine, butter bean is fine, pinto beans are fine)
Step 2: boil in stock of choice until soft
Step 3: drain and mash
Step 4 (optional): fry bean paste
Step 5: season with salt, chilli powder and cumin
Step 6: finally realise that Woolies isn't the bastion of food

Really, it takes less than 5 minutes..."

Thanks dude
