What's for supper?

Homemade butternut soup. (No photo - looks like smooth custard)

Turned out really well for 1st attempt. Definitely on my regular eating list. (Butternut, onion, cream & various spices).

Any idea what to do about the colour though...its custard yellow instead of orange-ish. Already added a hint of tumeric in an attempt to fix it.

No time to cook tonight so we decided to get Nandos. Something we never do.

What a rip off. R140 for a full chicken (so small it is barely enough for one) plus coleslaw and roasted veggies.

Was still hungry after that. Wife as well.

Cream of brocolli with pork loin chops done with paprika, garlic and butter.

Try roasting the butternut first.

I still enjoy Nandos but it's getting a bit expensive now. I go for a half chicken and coleslaw.

The coleslaw was very nice and the chicken really tasty. But as you say.... getting bit expensive... Esp when you are still hungry afterwards.

Still staying strong to our no Carbs diet. Otherwise it would have been pizza or Steers.

1) More butternut, less cream
2) Fry the butternut and onion before adding chicken broth.
