Just slice them julienne style and soak them for as long as possible, dry them thoroughly on a paper towel, and fry in plenty of spitting hot oil (say 1/2 inch deep) for 10 minutes. Forget about cinnamon.
They're also epic cut up, tossed through a bit of oil, sprinked with salt and smoked paprika and baked in the oven (bake on a sheet of wax paper to avoid sticking to the tray). Best sweet-potato chips imo.

That sounds very nice.

For you, sir ... STEAK.

Fillet steak ... with a piquant brandy, cream and mustard sauce.

Sushi. Restaurant is called Hashi in Rosebank's The Zone. Highly recommended. Their ceviche (while not absolute top class) is one of the better ceviches you will eat in SA - was absolutely delicious. And their fish is very fresh, sushi rice near perfect, and combinations of flavours superb. Not altogether cheap (dinner for two was R600 with wine and tip), but definitely worth a visit if you want good quality...

Have been there and can't say I was all that impressed. Their sushi had too much sauces on and sometimes too many ingredients without any of them actually standing out (we had a platter). Not in a rush to visit them again TBH. On that note also went to Tsuyu in fourways and can say the same. Better than Hashi but nothing special either. The only thing that was really flavourful was their fashion sandwiches.

Burgers and chips.
The chips look delicious :). So in the mood for some of those sandwiched between some fresh bread with salt & vinegar. Up for dinner: Spinach and feta topped nachos with chilli sauce and guacamole.
