Whats going on with Afrihost tonight?

All my torrents and all downloads has gone to crap.. since yesterday afternoon'ish

Experiencing tons of packet loss tonight while gaming. Thought it was the game servers, but when my other games did the same on local and international servers I can only conclude it's an Afrihost problem...

I'm in Somerset West.

Got same issue with Axxess. MTN Backbone! Afrihost/Axxess same company different pajamas!

Oh boohoo. You get angry consumers and then you get pointless whining brats. I'll leave it up to you to figure out which camp you fall into.

then again their problems have exceeded what is reasonable to be "no whining brats"

I said in their thread and I will say it again. IS "engineer" told me their network is borked and will take months to fix, mtn "engineer" told me the packet loss is 100% afrihosts fault.

All while afrihost blamed telkom had me log faults and wait hours for techniians to test and confirm that yeah... pretty much it is their account.

I understand your POV but it would be better spent telling people to cancell their accounts rather than put up with that level of horrid service? I am having a very similar experience with crystalweb... however it seems they are more open about problems and time lines to actually fix their network and for that I am more impressed than I am with afrihosts "wait and pay and see maybe later"

I think all ISPs send their staff on bullshyte 101 courses .... Then the brief is ... bullshyte the user while we try to figure out WTF is going on ..... amd our fall back position is blame Telkom.

Despite all of that, I still don't think it is appropriate to personally attack one of their reps on the forum.
By all means, bitch and whine about the company (I have done my fair share of that).
But personal attacks are pointless and childish.

yes but at what point do you think they have crossed the line? I agree personal attacks are wrong and they are just doign their jobs.

But if what they are paid is to be deceitful will this not lead to people taking it personally?
