What's on your emulator box

MAME: Xain'd Sleena, Pleiads, Speed Race
C64: Turrican II, Stunt Car Racer, Bandits

Have not had any time to play them recently though...
 
I use RetroArch on my PC with the complete collections of NES, SNES, MASTER SYSTEM, MEGADRIVE (aka GENESIS) and N64. With a personal PS1 collection of my favorites such as Metal Gear Solid, Medal of Honor, Sled Storm etc (great games but mostly for nostalgia at this point). I run the PS1 games using Vulkan at x8 the native with a CRT shader to enhance the nostalgia even more. I got a seperate full MAME collection I haven't revisited for months due a HDD crash recently.

I often load up Battletoads on the Megadrive because I think it's the best version personally.

EDIT: I also think Contra on the NES is superior to the Arcade version by a significant margin. Something about the art style and animations just look way better to me.

I play quite a lot of emulators but mainly newer Nintendo systems like 3DS (Citra), Wii U (Cemu), Switch (Yuzu), Gamecube/Wii (Dolphin). I love playing them in higher resolutions, with texture packs, better frames, etc. Currently playing through Twilight Princess HD on Cemu and Metroid: Samus Returns on Citra.

From what i read retroarch. I use Classicboy on my phone though.

Whatever you use, let us know what controllers you used and if you were able to pair two of them to the box.

Yeah that's why I like to play Nintendo games. I find they are far better optimised for emulation. Sony tends to have this insane architecture that's impossible to emulate. Switch is basically just a well-known Nvidia X1 chip, so quite new games like Zelda: Link's Awakening are very playable.

I have a Gamesir G4 and a cheapy red and black controller

both can be paired to the box at the same time. And we've 2 player games like bombsquad and the buggy one.

Wanna take it up a notch now and go retro :)

I'll try to make some time and get retroarch set up later today and give feedback

PS and Xbox is a bit tricky, u need some serious hardware. I was able to play shadow of the colossus on a PS2 emulator on PC... and even though its old and has been worked on a ton, it still has quite a few moments where it stutters

Also, PCSX2 is one of the most horrible pieces of software I've had the misfortune to use.

Thats awesome. I tried to google pairing two devices a while back and didnt find many sites or videos about it.

Ok so 2 controllers paired up no problem with the LITBox.

All you have to do is make sure that you set both controller's up in retroarch under settings>input
Do it for both and then you'll be good to go.

Got NES loaded and jammed some tetris with the wifey :)

Edit: dont go near airconsole

Oh, btw, re the original topic of this thread, what are you doing with your Pi?

I FINALLY setup a Retropie install and my 5 year old is loving it. Got 2 cheapie usb controllers from diyelectronics and we've been co-opping "Goof Troop" on SNES. (pro-tip, use Retropie's "save game" feature to save a lot of stress - I found this way too late.)
For single player, he's enjoying Sonic (Megadrive) and Pac Man. The crappy graphics don't bug him at all, even tho I've let him play a little bit of some indie racing game on XBox 360, which I thought would raise his expectations.

no lagging on the lit box?

Also where do you store roms locally or over network?
