What's the process after finding a proper port?

Well. After waiting for Telkom to get here (almost at 1 for a full day appointment) The guy saw a line already running in the house, he traced it to one pole, then went to the next, and the next, and the next and then the next once more. Driving pole to pole for almost an hour and a half. Had to go write a test, he said he needs to get into one yard and will only be back at Wednesday and he'll phone. Never did. My question is what happens next when he finds the port? I haven't had uncapped, and this is the first time I'm waiting for installation that should have been today. :/ Now I'll need to get another date once more.

Yeeees ... these pole jumpers are a law unto themselves. They will even sneak up on a Sunday and ring the bell with no appointment. Then when you aren't in, they kinda blame you!?

Uncapped - well there isn't really such a thing for good money as you will soon find out.
