I wish!

To answer your post title question - nothing.

4096 kilobits divided by 8 = 512 kilobytes. What's the problem? Wish I had your line.

Try using Johannesburg as the server you use with Speedtest.net. I have the same line as you and get much the same figures if I test the speed through Cape Town. But, using Johannesburg I get 3.3Mbs, and that while I am streaming a radiostation.

ok, im a noob to ADSL, lol! more in2 OC'ing & gaming! but thanx..will run later & post new test result!

I think you need a little enlightenment: http://www.adslsouthafrica.co.za/speed.htm

"A huge misconception is that Kbps is Kilobytes per second. IT IS NOT. Many companies advertise the speed in "Kbps" because people will think it is Kilobytes when in fact it is kilobits. By the way 8 kilobits = 1 Kilobyte, so the line is slower than it sounds. You do the math. "
