Many of you slate the opposite console to which you own ... but just curious if you could point out disadvantages or things that piss you off with your own consoles - whether PS3 or Xbox360?

I've got a Xbox 360 and things that annoy me ...

* The sound ... so noisy! Even the quieter HDMI is terribly loud

* The lack of being able to connect an HDMI and a optical cable simultaneously

* The fact that peripherals aren't the normal cheapo's and everything needs to be MS rip offs (the webcam, the HDD etc)

* The system time resets to 2005 when the power goes out

the time/date resets are a minor pain ................ none of the other things bug me to be honest :o

Heathen! Heretic! Rip out his eyes!!! ;) Just kidding :D

You're right on almost ll counts, I don't seem to have an issue with my clock. (Although I haven't really looked)

Other things that annoy me:

1. untimely pop-ups - As you hit the guide butting to send a message or acknowledge something someone signs on pulling you into the wrong blade, or worse, if it's a patch it can hang the console.

2. The Germanic mature DLC blocks (workable but annoying)

3. The D-pad, enough said

4. The local community "leaders", Anyone ever heard of Waggy? I didn't think so....

Xbox360
1. Sound - Yip
2. System time reset - Yip
3. Cost of the 120GB HDD
4. Not being able to use my external USB harddrive(s) in place of the 20GB one
5. Limited number of game updates/patches allowed although there's enough space on disk

The clock thing gets me. A battery would have been nice.
;)

Yup :( The thing is GTA4 loads the most recent saved game (assuming more than 1 on a profile) and very often - that's NOT the most recent :/

1. 120MB + updates every three weeks... and then a further update to fix the stuff that the last update fscked up. if you choose to not update, no access to any online features.

2. Overpriced remote for Blu-Ray that uses bluetooth instead of Infrared, so no universal remotes work with it.

my pc, which after many many months is still not working :(

still not enough to make me go for an xbox (peripheral price, gamepad *yuck* though i could live with the sound - its not much different from my current pc:))

The xbox controller is currently the best one of all 3 consoles at the moment, yes it has a crappy Dpad but it's ergonomically shaped and the analog sticks are perfectly positioned (hell even logitech copied the design, chillstream :D doesnt that tell u something)

and i prefer my rumblepad, which incorporates the best of both worlds. nuff said!

xbox360
everything mentioned so far

ps3
not being able to go online to just view the store even, without the update.
install times, way too long compared to pc, but i can still accept it as it bring general load times down and i just go do something else while a game isntalls.

both consoles
load times

pc
mm, .. lets not start :P being my gaming and development platform and having to deal with so many different software and hardware issues there are bound to be endless things one could complain about.

Oh, another little thing to add - the "lost" 8Gb on the Harddrive for backwards compatibility. I'd like the option to remove it.

And I want a mic boost control.

PC - Having to buy/upgrade new hardware every time a new game comes out in order to play it on full graphic/sound/etc settings.

Oh, and patches. I bought the first TOCA Race Driver and could not even finish 2 laps of the first track before it crashed as the lap time reached 1min57sec. 3 months later the first patch came out and I was able to play properly for the first time. A mate with a PS2 just popped his version in and it worked on his console.
