What's wrong with your own console?

Xbox- drive noise somtimes gets to me, games are expensive.
Thats about it.

lol, love to dive into this one.

ps3
1. the lack of good games; tired of going to stores to find zip (dnt know if i can blame the console for this one but still)
2. PRICES OF GAMES!!
3. load times are annoying esp for fast paced action titles and fighters were u dnt want breaks in the carnage.
4. Installs (not really a problem for me but worth mentioning)

xbox
ive had 2 bad experiances when playing lost odyssey. disc read errors after an hour of gameplay and no saving. Scratching of disc!!
wasnt very happy with the load times in LO as well, but that could just be game specific. the drive noise really isnt an issue for me.

cred to the original poster. Good to find a thread were we're not at each others throats. Kinda feels like when ur partner asks to list 4 things about her you love and 4 things you hate!! --without the bloodshed ;-)

no problems XBOX rules and when the next update comes PS3 is going down

dumb troll is dumb

At the moment I'm using my laptop for gaming as well as my ps2. The laptop annoys me due to complex installs and difficult multiplayer setup.

I've got a PS3 and a PC, and if I had to split their usage outta 10,

My PS3 gets about 3/10th's and the PC about 7/10th's of my usage. ;)
Even though the PS3 isn't as great as anticipated, I will still never regret my purchase because whenever I do play some of the few exclusive games on the platform, they are awesome :D

Onto the topic,

PS3 Annoyances:
  • Large Updates
  • Expensive Games/Movies
  • Install times
;)

i alway wanted to get myself a decent pc rig to play WOW. sadly though i know squat about overclocking/components/setups etc. any idea wat a rig costs? wheres a good place to buy one?

What I don't like about my console?

The way it mocks me ...

Being forced to sit through soapies or while doing chores, I can hear it's voice in the back of my mind pointing fingers, pulling tongues, whispering "noooooobs gonna pwn yoooooo ..."

;)

If you build it yourself and have a monitor and KB+M, a pc for WOW could be for R4000 or R5500 for a decent pc that can run anything.

PC- I think PC games have the most buggs in them... and upgrading every 6 months or so is not cool :(

So don't. Every 3 years suites me fine.

Same here....I last upgraded my graphics card about 3 years back, and still using my little Radeon X1800 XT :p

I did upgrade my CPU to a Core2Duo E6600 and got 2gigs RAM about 2 years back now, but thats about it. I can still run most games pretty well.

All ValvEs games (Half life 2, Episode 1, Episode 2, Team Fortress 2 etc) all run perfectly on the highest graphics I can set them to.

Crysis runs fine on med-high graphics at 1680x1050 resolution. ;)

Its always nice to play on a console though, when you have games that will almost always run at a nice smooth framerate. :)

he agmes have to cost more cos the consoles cost less. Where do you think that sony MS and nintendo make money?

They make their money from license fees from games. Just btw Nintendo makes a profit from it's consoles from day 1.

If you give me a few minutes I'll post a pc, at retail prices that costs about the same as a ps3.

I hate the fact the xbox can't play avi's without being attached to a PC

and that it gets me into trouble with my GF
