There's a what's your age and your salary thread but I'm more interested In net worth. I think it'll give people a better picture of their overall financial standing in comparison to their peers and retirement.

State what it's made up of also (house less bond, car, shares, pension etc)

Doubt you will get too many high net worth individuals biting. Well not genuine ones. Maybe they'll bite if you stick it in a poll with various brackets.

37 y.o.

About 500k in assets, 200k in cash and 1.2m in liabilities. So -500k.

Not counting pension, RA, investment policies etc. There's about 2m in there...

40, think I'm on about -3mil net worth, which is 2 houses and a car.
Doesn't include RA savings.

40
House equity - R550k
Car - R180k
Pension - R1m
Unit Trust - R100k

Total = R1,8m

Why are you keeping so much in cash if you have debt?

house (4.6 - 1.8m) = 2.8m
retirement - 200k
car - 50k

Retirement should be higher but working off the bond.

so just over 3 million.

Surely nett worth should include RA and home (or car) equity? Seems like either people are leaving these out or have made some really bad investments.
