Whats your oblivion level?

24 vampire blade/heavy warior with illusion and conjuration magic
 
I finished the main quest and was only on lvl 4. Now I am a lvl 8 Bard, Dark Elf
 
I am also desperately trying to keep my level down, but unfortunately reached level 10 last night on my SpellSword. I am Arch-Mage and about 2/3 way through the main quest.

Why are you trying to keep your level down?
 
Dang...I also want to play this game. Have morrow wind but did not enjoy that at all, please tell me this is better

The monsters level with you. So, when leveling too fast, one's stats do not keep up with one's level and the game becomes very hard.

It is very strange to play a game where I am specifically trying not to gain levels. :D

@Gothan: If you did not enjoy Morrowind, then you should stay away from this one in my opinion.
 
@ Gothan: I personally hated morrowind. This is wAAAAAAy better.

@GKM: Point taken but I dont deliberately keep my level down because I want lesser monsters. I must admit I do enjoy when I have to battle monsters which are just that little bit better than me. Greater satisfaction when I stand over their bodies after their defeat. :)

Level 14 Custom warrior. But it should get a nice bump this coming long weekend. Does anyone know exactly how the modifier works? How do I increase it before I level up each time?

You need to get 10 levels in stats linked to an attribute to get +5 in the attribute when you level up. +5 is the most you can gain per attribute per level, for three attributes.
 
First try:
Level 13 - 57 Hours playtime
Brenton - Custom Clan
Wizard connected to all the guilds

Level 20 - 27 Hours playtime
Brenton - Custom Clan (Again!)
Conjurer connected to Mages, Fighters and Assasins guild.

I got up to Level 18 just by doing Mages Guild Quests

Taking up levels too quickly is not a good idea as my summoned creatures are not as strong as their counter parts yet........
