WhatsApp Replies from PC: QuickReply + Pushbullet (Root+Android 4.0)

Installed pushbullet for android and chrome.

Will try it out and see how it performs.

Ok that's awesome. I will more than likely then purchase the QuickReply, after I rooted the phone. Does it work with SMS and BBM and other IMs as well, for example?

Also, I noticed that it doesn't show an image someone might have sent in WhatsApp, or emoji. Not that it really matters too much.

Pushbullet works with all apps as it intercepts your notifications.

QuickReply works with SMS (Client Dependent) and Whatsapp.

BTW an easy way to root is to use TowelRoot. 1 click app that works on most newer phones. Then install a superuser app. And you're done.

I opened Chrome, clicked on the PB plugin button and waited. It updated itself

Still doesn't work without Quick Reply. Whatsapp needs to update their app I think. My pushbullet is also on V108.

EDIT: Strange that Hangouts work and also useless since they have a chrome app already haha.

Correct, here is what the dev said on reddit:

We'd need to work with those apps [Whatsapp, BBM] to support replying like this since they control the system (unlike SMS which is neutral, like email). If they approached us though, we'd be happy to add it.
