WhatsApp taking landscape pictures upside down. (bug?)

Before you tell me to get off WhatsApp and move to Telegram/Signal im going to stop you dead in your tracks, no.

So as the title suggests, when taking landscape pics to send to someone it comes out upside down, in normal camera its fine.

I can replicate this issue on my Huawei P20 and my moms P20 Pro.

It's not a bug, its a feature...

Different phones embed orientation tags in the Jpeg. Some apps use the orientation tag, others don't. I don't think the problem is anything to do with WhatsApp itself.

Try rotating the phone 180 degrees when taking the photo. Open in another app, crop or edit, and see if the orientation tag is preserved.
