WhatsApp appears to have opened its voice calling feature to all Android users, with the invite window now open for several hours. The world's most popular messaging app has been gradually rolling out this feature by opening the invite window only for a few hours at a time. This time however, WhatsApp may have opened the floodgates, reports Android Police.

WAHAHA!

I KNOW you were online one minute ago and you STILL didn't answer my call! Who is she?!
 
The update was installed on my phone a couple minutes ago according to Pushbullet, will go have a look.
 
Calls seems clearer than even both skype and a hangouts call from my phone, a 3 minute call took about 1 meg of data as far as I can tell.
 
ok, so a little problem... the feature is only activated after you receive a call...??? whos going to phone you, that already have the feature? faaaark it

It works, tested to my other phone. I'm only glad they didn't include a group calling feature!
 
It's a frustrating yet genius way to get the feature activated without having the Whatsapp servers crash.
 
Will wait till it gets activated by an update, hopefully
