yes, because in more than 4 years that I have been on telegram using gifs, all the whatsapp people refused to move.

again, its like using openweb or mweb and complainign about being throttled, but then when someone suggest you change ISP that thought is ludicrous because you are already on mweb.

remember, telegram is also releasing new features and always improving, and will alway be ahead of whatsapp.
whatsapp simply copies telegram features and gets an article on myBB.

telegram has those features for litrally years but no one was interested, now they are loosing their minds in order to use it on whatsapp.

note not really the same - one is a person complains about a downside and a solution is offered but they refuse to move.
the other is they are content and see no issue and you offer an alternative with better features - a feature they believe they will not use - so they refuse to move. later on new same feature offered by old one and old user is happy - argument can come in see other service had it first - counter this one will have it soon and maybe better.

Funny you should say that... In a secret chat on Telegram. You cant take a screenshot. And the other party is notified that you tried to. Impressed?
Can it prevent me from taking a picture of the chat with another camera?

I know, I'm being daft, but how do you capture an important conversation that could legally be useful to you?

I think is people used Telegram for groups they would be much better off. The level of control is what's important. I left my WA security groups because someone kept posting stupid annoying carp that had nothing to do with security or our local. Then everyone starts the thumbs ups and so on. Then there is the guy who gets drunk and starts posting in the security group at 2am by mistake.

With Telegram you can have groups that only the admins can post. Nice way to get info out there without getting the thumbs ups from people who think they need to reply to EVERY post. You know the ones, yes you there in the back. Or those annoying "warnings" about fake key rings that are supposedly given away at petrol stations and have GPS trackers in them.

International friends moved on to Telegram, Local friends use Whatsapp so I am forced to use both.

Judging BBM's I guess my SA friends will play catch up 2-3 years from now.

Telegram Benefits:

* I can hide from people because most of my contacts don't use it
* I can access the same chats from both my phones, tablets, and desktop at the same time
* Chat search is much faster
* GIF search is a lot of fun
* Secret chat has come in useful
* Ockie is on telegram

Cheating on me?
