WhatsApp is developing a new group invitation feature which will allow users to automatically block others from automatically adding them to groups, WABetaInfo reports.

This privacy setting was previously available to WhatsApp Enterprises, and the company is now reportedly working on bringing it to consumers.

I only use WA for area groups, a few friends and my mom...

So whatever.
If people keep adding me to a group then I set it not to give notifications and on mute. Then I have peace even if they did not want me to have peace...
