wheel alignment - what's included?

It will be done don't worry
The question is more about should it have been done as part of wheel alignment or not? I don't want to pay extra for something that I should've been included.
I'll go for a second opinion, just wanting as many opinions and insight from the myBB.
The alignment includes only adjustments to suspension bits that can and should be adjusted to align the wheels accordingly..

It does not include anything over and above that..

Sometimes a bit here and there is bent and there simply isn't enough adjustment to compensate for it, so things have to be bent back in place..

Who knows what's included.

I have a brochure with a disc skimming special for R450, *excluding labour.

What the fck.

Hello internet friends

Have a question...

Wife took her Tiguan 1st gen to repair a flat tyre, and also do wheel alignment as the car was pulling to one side.

They show her on the screen that they can fix the angles that are out, on the lower section of the screen (currently in the red), see attached.
However, the upper section of screen (not sure what it means) they need to use a different tool and this is an additional charge of R1000 to rectify.
See screenshot of the quote description. I told her not to do this yet.

What's your thoughts?
on some cars we used to have to bend the lower shock bracket to get it true .if its hit a bad pothole it may be why .if you dont it will stuff the shock up eventually

Update:

Went to Supa Quick Brackenfell, they said they would check the vehicle free of charge.

Everthing was in spec, and couldn't find any reason that the cradle would need to be shifted.
If they did have to do a big adjustment, they would charge about R150 over and above a wheel alignment.

Big shout out to Supa Quick Brackenfell, big EFF YOU to TWT Durbanville.

Will be very amusing if YOU take it for the second opinion…at the same place.

My go to is Hi-Q Brackenfell…every other shop I’ve ever used in Cape Town has been dodgy in some way.

I've been tempted.... But honestly don't have the energy for that sht. They'll more than likely come up with an excuse to try save face.

Yea all places will have some dodgeness for sure.

I just had a similar thing said to me, I was doing bearings and had to do the alignment after, mine would cost R650, also no accident or anything like that, I have al never hit a massive pothole,, so no idea what could have caused the issue. I will be looking for a second opinion as the last time I did an alignment it was at the same place and not too long ago, nothing was picked up then.

The car also drives well and doesn't feel odd in any way.
