No ,you only use the adaptor with a non castelated nut ,with castlelated nut you only use the split pin ,so if yours has a castelated nut ,throw the adaptor into file 13 .

Number one, mine is a castlelated one so then I have no use for the adapter.

Sounds fancy like German, I can't remember the pricing as I've had them for a while, but I would recall if the price was as fancy as the German sounding name, they were probably nothing out of the ordinary.
