Does anyone know when the double data we are getting from RAIN ends. It is either end of this month or end of next month. I queried my ISP (Ignite) last week and they havent had the decency to reply.

This double data deal was excellent value and I will sorely miss it - time to move to fibre I guess.

As soon as you have a simple problem with it.

Had a sim that kept de-registering off the network, They expected me to cancel and sign-up for a new contract losing my double data.

They dont do sim-swaps.

Bunch of wankers

I know that we had until the end of November last year to sign up for the double data so it could have been for a year but I need to make sure.

For sure cancelling in December due to this, 55GB just won't cut it for me. If they make the double data permanent then I'll gladly stay.

if its ending end November Only option is cell c but heard their network for LTE-A is not upto standard

I'm with you werny - 55-55 was a bargain at just over R500. Thanks everyone for your input and confirmation.

What exactly do you mean by 6PM to 11PM ??

Think he is mixing Rain Uncapped with the Rain LTE you get/got via re sellers.

Uncapped is such from 11PM at night till 6 PM in the afternoon for R250 pm and R50 a gig usage between 6pm and 11pm.

Personally I love the uncapped package.

Probably the shaping of streaming services (Youtube especially) and also P2P traffic. Youtube I can still deal with as 1080p is still possible, but P2P is basically dead at 100KBps. :(

Yeah I got both. Thought maybe he got throttled during those times

Interesting enough my B618 on Rain Fixed allows me to choose 2600 frequency. No slow down during that period. Whereas if I leave it on auto.. Probably 1800.. It's crappy

Thanks. LTE fixed from RAIN which I pay R999. Once it hits 6PM everything comes to a halt. But as soon as 11PM hits everything is fast again.
