I agree, most people who gets a bonus wants to do renovations over Dec and the only contractors are these WFH el cheapo peeps

We are closing on the 13th but the OPS department will be on standby
 
in building industry so shut down tomorrow until the 13th Jan.
I'm starting a bit earlier though to get some new systems in place before we officially reopen.

builders holidays are a outdated system, it makes more sense to have it in winter
 
This is our busiest time of the year. We have a freeze on all production system changes, but everyone is on standby.
 
24-7th, but there is one person in every team who is "working"/has laptop on at home for if client needs something as "contracting" company and you have an SLA to maintain.
 
From the 23rd. And because of how the public holidays pan out here I just take two days extra and get two weeks off.
 
24 December - 6 January. I closed on the 13th December. Taking a break is not always easy, hence I had to get a head start.
 
Yep! Closing on 18 Dec. Opening on 6 December. Our leave days will NOT be affected. I think this counts as a “benefit”, although not stated in employment contract because office closure is NOT guaranteed. It’s at the discretion of the Directors. Love this! We worked our socks off, the company is drowning in revenue. Wouldn’t make sense to work during the festive season, our clients will be nowhere to be found! :ROFL:
 
23rd, 24th, 27th, 30th and 31st are compulsory leave days. Office and warehouse are closed. Skeleton IT and technical support.
 
Weekends and public holidays.

Also, stop being so nosy.
