Never - some prod support IT staff (Devs & testers too) are always on support. Nothing much happens on Operations side though.

Dec 20th to Jan 7th.
Looking forward to the break

Doesn't close but my leave is approved from next week until the 6th of January

The company I work for shuts down between Christmas and New Year. The previous company I worked for exported to the US and Saudi Arabia, and we never shut down. It was a 24 hour, 7day a week operation. I even worked many times on Christmas day and New Years day in the 19 years I worked there. The staff who worked through the holidays normally got paid very well for availing themselves. Like in almost two month's salary on top of your normal salary and 13th cheque. So, many years I earned 4 x my salary in December. One year I used the money to pay for my PPL.

We do not shut down, work 24/7 365 days a year

amazing how more or less entire country shuts down for weeks like we are some first world utopia.

My holiday started on the 1st of April when I left the company on pension after more than 40 years of uninterrupted service.
Yeah you old geezer:love:
Real Housewives Television GIF

Never officially shuts down, but skeleton staff from the 16th Dec through to first week of Jan.
