When last did you take a sick day?

The flu has gotten to me..Eish I'm sore all over and my back is killing me. Taking a day off for the 1st time in quite a bit (taken time for family stuff though) but just realised for the 1st time that I won't be paid for the day I'm spending at home .. How I miss permanent work sometimes.

When last were you sick and do you take a day off at the first sniffle or are you told to go home by your manager because you love you job that much.

Today, actually. It's crap, but at least it's the right weather for it.

Our manager prefers that we stay home instead of infecting everyone else.

For some retarded reason I always get sick during holidays & weekends. 7 days holiday?....5 days sick...proper sick. It blows.

tbh I don't really feel like using the sick days. To me thats something reserved for when things go really sideways. I do take time for checkups & dentist & whatnot on a pretty regular basis.

Oh and the company organized flu shots for everyone.

I feel bad..even when I'm really sick. Never bunk work but really feel bad when I can't come in.

@ one stage I had 12 years with 1 day off work cause I cracked my elbow. Since then I have learn't you don't get rewarded for being a hero. In fact these days your number won't even get noticed unless you in k@k.

aggg okes must take sick days. nothing worse than a collegue who is coughing and sniffing and snorting next to you. Like a infestation of miffness.

Sick days are there for a reason, dont feel bad. People say "too much work to take a sick day", as Hemi300 said, you get 0 reward for being a "hero".
