Why should you support other people's childern?

The world is over populated. They can die if their parents don't look after them. I would donate to an environmental cause though.

We have to support the townships with our tax for water, electricity, roads -everything. Why must I now feed their children just so they can breed and continue the cycle? Pity we can't cull humans. We would rather have 30 odd million people live in appalling conditions and continue to breed even if they shouldn't.

I'm of the view that if they cared about charity they'd deduct it automatically from their profits. Don't make me give charity on your behalf and then advertise it as something great you're doing.

On the same note, why not give all the chicken thats thrown away becuse its cold away.
Dont kfc have that rule like mcdonalds, ie 15 min and then into the bin.....

Amount thats thrown away and perfectly edible is a crime against poor people.

What do they actually do with it? must incenerate it otherwise thed be a stampede everytime they throw away food at the dump..

Cannot recall having ever doing this. It'll be a while before I go back to a KFC though hearing all about the way they handle their birds when we're not looking.

And then I still have that picture of the absus in the chicken branded in my head

I say yes to the R2 every 3rd time. It's more because the cashier at the window gives me guilt eyes....

I agree with some comments that KFC should give the R2 from their GP - maybe all orders >R100 = R2 to the hope thingy...

EDIT: actually, because of my OCD, once the first window has told me my total, when she asks if I will add R2, my answer is based on whether it will push me over the nearest R5. So, if she says R152-50 and then asks, I will give the R2. If she says my total is R148-75 I will decline... (Just realised this mental niggle of mine after I posted)

The famous bump.

1) To see if peoples opinions have changed about "Adding Hope"?

2) I saw Expresso had a long insert this morning about the KFC initiative.

Funny you should bump this.

Last night, on my way home from work I went through a KFC drive through to get the kids supper. The order taker asked me to add Hope, I agreed.

I then got to the window to collect my order and the lady asked me to Ad Hope. I said, "yes, I have already told the previous lady she could". I get my food and slip and see I have been smacked twice for Add Hope. I asked her WTF and told her to give me R2 back. This will now make me not want to round up to the nearest R5 next time (recap: I Add Hope if it does not take me above a
5 or R10 in the total: R72-95 I will add hope, R74-95 I will not)

no, last time we had KFC me and the SO was violently sick with food poisoning, never again...

I have been off KFC for at least 2 - 3 years now. No temptation to ever go back. The thought of the pus oozing out of a fillet of chicken cured me for life. That pic I saw may not be from KFC. Reality is that I will never risk that it was a KFC.

I do, the one here by me in tygervalley (not the mall, the free standing one) staff is very nice so I add hope each time.

Closest I get to KFC is the grilled full chicken from PnP with fresh rolls from the bakery

KFC, is around the corner from the PnP.

KFC have been incrementally decreasing their portion sizes whilst exhorbitantly increasing their pricing

They're making millions so **** them. I'll rather give it to car gaurd.
