Am I the only one who wonders such odd things?
Sure overseas it can work great but here in good 'ol SA the ratio is too skewed. Much more people of color too and then there's the dishonesty and people using Google images as profile pictures. Also most women is like OP and don't trust/like online dating. Tinder can work but you really have to be good looking otherwise you'll just fade into all the other profiles. So unless you know of sites that work the stigma is justified.i still dont fully understand the stigmata against dating sites.
I met my misses through a chat site.
Been happily single the past 10 years. Dating is too much effort.

Mybbi still dont fully understand the stigmata against dating sites.
I met my misses through a chat site.
Dating sites work for some. It worked wonders for me to pick up easy girls. Hell... i didn't even have to leave the house to get one night stands before i met my dream girl.
Now where are you supposed to meet single people?
Through friends or Dating sites or the random encounter at the milk isle in pick n pay.
At clubs? Please. Only thing you gonna meet there is a fling or short term relationship.
At the gym? lol. Sure
Its hard... dating site is a good option.
So back to the online dating thing.
Its easy. Dont shoot down every person with poor chat / writing skills.
Go and meet some of them in person somewhere public.
See where it goes. Simple

Oh....he didn't tell me....I met your "single" man today...![]()

Well well well... It seems to happen indeed!Mybb![]()

Quote the post and edit it to only show the stuff you're responding to.It would be nice if one could actually respond to an individual comment ... I take it you can't?

There are several issues. The first is possibly that the guys who commit get taken early.(this is me) The second is that the cost of weddings and kids are a major worry for the guys who are on the fence about marriage etc. Then there are a lot of guys who are not married for a good reason.
So if you are looking to find someone you would be happy with there are a few options:
1: The shy/loner guys - So many nice guys who are hiding because they struggle to talk to girls.
2: Divorced/bereaved - Each have their own risks but they were willing to commit at one stage.
3: International
4: Dammaged goods/guys with issues - Only if you like a project.
So how do you meed people. IF you use things like Tinder it will help you get into the game but you probably wont find a husband. Its good for practice.
My MIL just found something that seems to be working well https://www.meetup.com/. Its area specific and for anyone who wants to meet like minded people, so there are hiking groups and others that go dancing. Its not just for singles so its less of a meat market than tinder.
Whatever you do - don't bother with church.
Will look at that site ! Thanks.
I am female.

Nice to know there are lots of singles out there - and yes. I suppose I'll have to go out more often to meet new people. New years resolution
Now ... I used to have a flatmate who was a guy - he was an absolute computer geek. Ever since then I wonder if people on forums are like him, but then I'm on a forum and I'm no geek. Haha.
And nobody has profile pictures on this site - and let's face it - attraction is key. So that doesn't help.
The online dating thing is also a bit weird to me, but maybe that is because I was born in the 80's and the introduction of Internet dating was weird to the world in general. It's normal to younger people I suppose a generation thing.
Glad to know there are other females in my position and the single men reading this - It's difficult to know who's actually interested in meeting someone, or if you're all just messing around. There's a lot of banter with the regulars I see!
interesting though.
