Where can I buy bulk Wheat Kernels?

Anyone have any idea where I can buy some bulk wheat kernels, preferably in the Cape Town area so I can pick it up myself, but would be willing to ship if the price is right.
I was buying organic wheat but that is a bit expensive now so am looking for regular wheat kernels.

Most of the places I've tried either have a minimum purchase order of around 25 tons (just a little bit much for me...), or are just regular shops which are way too expensive to buy in bulk. So I'm stuck somewhere in the middle.

I'm looking for about 1000 kg. I make my own bread for those wondering.

Have you spoken to a big commercial bakery in CPT?

Like Sasko or Blue Ribbon. If they cannot supply you im sure they can point you in the right direction.

Thanks, I thought they would just shrug off someone looking to buy a measly 1 ton. But yeah won't harm to contact them.
 
Not sure if you have a SAB Malter in cape town or maybe asking one of the smaller malters in capetown if they will onsell some unmalted wheat is an option?

Those guys look like pros! I'm an amatur compared. I keep things simple. If I started making cake and the like my sweettooth would take over and I would get the size of a house in no time!

Is a ton not over doing it? Like seriously how much are you baking? can you store all this safely without pests getting in, 1000kg is loads to keep sealed

Even if we assume 1kg a loaf that's more than 30 loaves a day. That's a small bakery

I tried Komati, they only do Organic and they're not cheap.
Go Natural I tried, hoping for a little cheaper than that.

They both sell to the end consumer, I need who they buy from.......

Not if you starve those little bastards of air! I put the wheat into plastic bags and tie them airtight, weevil problem solved. You can then remove the weevils, or just bake them into the bread... and feed it to your vegetarian friends!

Gross. What kind of health protocols are you following/not following if you are willing to used contaminated raw materials for your production.

Give us this day, our daily weevil.
