Where can I get a power button?

My PC's power button is causing my machine to turn off / on randomly. Where can I get a replacement? It's a Gigabyte Setto II 140 case, but I don't mind any generic button -- the PC is hidden away, and very seldom turned off.

Thanks.

Edit: I'm hoping to get one today, so I'd prefer a brick-and-mortar shop. I'm in Cape Town.

I'm sure somebody must have one lying around from an old case that's not being used anymore.

You could also try Communica if you don't come right. Are you sure it's the power button though?

If you can't find one PM me. I'm sure I can dig one up for you.

I just found the Communica website!! It looks like they might have what I need, as well as a few other cables I was going to go elsewhere for :)

I'll pop down there this afternoon.

I suggest you disconnect the power switch and test your theory before you waste your own time and money by getting a new one.

Its sounds like a overheating/PSU issue.

PS: to turn it on without a switch use a flat head screw driver to bridge the two pins.

Another option is to unplug both power and reset switches. Plug the reset switch into the power switch pins and use it like that for a while
What you say if reset switch is doing these things? Just unplug both to be sure.
Rickster, it was excellent. :)

I lost my notorious temper with one of the pc's at work, kicked her in the stiffy drive, cracked the case, damaged the dvd drive and destroyed her power button...... we now use no PSW and have two insulated wires sticking out the side of the box that we just touch together to boot the machine......

/Moose not sure why he shared that with the mob!
:erm:

thanks all. I found a little switch at Communica. It's not perfect -- I now have a little switch hanging on two wires out of the hole where the old power button was -- but it works.

I already wasted my time and money on a new PSU  I was convinced that, that was the problem. It wasn't. I disconnected the switch and bridged the pins with a screwdriver, and the machine was fine. So, I wasted 100s on a PSU when R8 fixed the problem.

Glad you came right at least. You buy anything else at Communica? I know I can never leave there without something I don't really need! :D

Haha. Yeah, I bought some adapters and SATA cables to finally install a pair of old laptop HDDs that I've been wanting to install for a while. Very cool shop; I didn't even know it existed. I'm sure I will find some reason to go back and buy some bits and pieces...

Anybody knows what are doing strange cars covered by 3-years old dust @Communica Samrand office?
Additional storage space? :)
