Where can I get Free POS software?

Well guys, I am using POSMAID -a commercial package, However,as a distributor in(JHB) I can actually hook you up with a fully licenced commercial package of Posmaid for FREE depending on certain criteria of your business operation - most probable for the very small businesses. www.openbravo.com, I ran a shop on this and had no real issues, runs on both linux and windows however I strongly suggest you use a touchscreen.
 
I can highly recommend Pastel if you're using a touch screen. Their UI for the touch interface is really nice and you can opt for the cheaper Xpress license because it still comes with everything you need for a small business. SARS integration is also pretty nifty as well.

Found this recently. Very impressive features for a free program.
It does attendance, inventory, barcodes printing, pos, multiple inventory locations for better stock control if you have a off site warehouse or shop, multiple pos terminal, touch screen... to name a few.

Edit: Unicenta has a paid support service if that is required..

That's the equivalent of asking for discount heart surgery. I'm mean it's possible sure...advisable probably not.
