Hi all
I heard that there exists such a thing as an ADSL line combiner, it does not increase the speed as such but more users will be able to use the line at the same speed at the same time [load balancing]

I know there are dual WAN routers, but I'm looking for a simple combiner that will do the job.
If you know of something like this please reply

Thanks
Mark

Under correction, but I think load balancing works if you have 2 dsl lines.

I mean Combine 2 ADSL lines

Sorry if i did not explain myself correctly.
I meant that instead of using a Dual WAN router to combine the 2 ADSL Lines is there another way to do it?

Yea Vox's fishbone is way over priced, you can achieve simple load balancing by setting up a linux box running... mmm... now what the hell was that distro called, lol

Anyways yea I set up a linux box between my 2 routers and my network to set up load balancing for our VoIP system, it works pretty well, also acts as good redundancy with about a 5-10 seconds switch over time, will get the name of the distro when I am at work if you interested

PC with 3 network cards. Install pfsense, configure, and there you go.

All of these will require the ISP to either support concurrent connections or each line will need a different internet account, correct?

i thiink so, least each line it's own account, if it doesn't support concurrent connections. usually only uncapped dont alllow cc's.
sorry i missunderstood erlier, so many ppl these days want to run two modems on one line :)

Get yourself a Mikrotik RB450G ; 2 or more ADSL modems in bridge mode and configure a load balancing script on the Mikrotik that meets your needs.

I recommend the RB450G as it support 5x gigabit ports, you only need 1 to internal, and it has a faster processor than the RB350 or normal RB450
