Besides parafish what other nice sushi place is within driving distance of Bellville, that have a "eat as much as you like" special

That is not;

Simply Asia,
Asian Asia
Best of Asia
Yummy zone
Boathouse
Or
Asamis

Listeria, salmonella, and tapeworms are just a few risks that could make you consider whether sushi is safe to eat. Sushi is a problematic food because it's made with raw fish — according to the Food and Drug Administration, raw fish can harbor parasites, bacteria, and viruses

Then I must be dead by now. Yet here I am. Eating sushi twice a week for the last 13 years.

Very nice place, I take the E & J platter for myself when I go there.

But I'll be honest I'm going to the buffet places mostly.

For Sushi on the go I go with Asamis, but purely because convenience. There is another place in my vicinity, Soo She, which have been disappointing on the occasion especially with takeaways.

I don't like the Sushi at Wang Thai.

My go-to place is Blue Waters in Somerset West -> http://thebluewater.co.za/

Wait. No poll? Or is this coming still? :p

In our area, Sakura Sushi. But I don't eat sushi. Noodles or fried rice while the rest will enjoy their fill of sushi.

Sushi is rice based which may be served with raw fish. Most western sushi is served with cooked fish. Raw fish (sashimi) is another type of Japanese cuisine. Japanese cuisine is a lot broader than most of us
round eyes realise.

I know of a great Japanese place but it's a bit far from CT northern 'burbs. It's in Brissie. Not much decent in the north of the UK

It's raw fish, I would know.

Vinegar does wonders ;)

What? Every single sushi joint I've been to uses raw tuna for their popular sushi. Not sure where you get this from.

It depends on what is eaten, but various ingredients are indeed cooked. Also, you need to be ill to eat eel raw in Japan.

What point are you making? I'm not following. I'm talking about the claim that most Western sushi is served with cooked fish. Wasn't talking about 'other ingredients'. Pick any random sushi place in SA and their sushi will have raw fish in.

My point is that Tuna and Salmon aren't the only ingredients used in Japanese cuisine, neither in the 'American' inspired variety.

Are you saying that you eat your crab, shrimp, prawn, amongst other ingredients, raw in your sushi?
