From the tap... when their is actually municiple water, we loose water for a few days every month. Looking at a jojo backup,not super pricey but i think its abit overkill for a problem that generally only lasts a day or two every month.

Unfiltered straight from my rainwater tanks. Might put a stocking filter on the tap if it's mosquito season so we don't get too many larvae in it. Us Port Alfreders have been doing that forever and I think our guts have become immune to most diseases

I use RO to make beer.

R1.6 per litre seems about right. I paid R1.7 today at a different shop that I probably won't be returning to.

Exactly, you don't want to risk your beer batch with unknowns. Although I did try one batch using water from natural mountain run off passing it through a cheese cloth filter. The brown ale had a slight marmite flavour, though that's not necessarily due to the water

Your body on the other hand, can handle some contamination.

At home we usually buy Nestle Purelife for all our drinking water, then anything else like cleaning and so forth we use the tap water. I just find the tap water tastes nasty, and sometimes they pump so much chlorine into it my pool water tastes better.

I used to do Valpre for a while but it was a bit salty in its taste. maybe just because i'm used to Nestle's which has less sodium probably.

At work we get from Aquazania.
