How does that work out of interest?
The process is called re-mineralisation. There is a filter with mineral media which add minerals back to the water as it passes through the filter. It is a standard feature on home RO systems. You have to replace the mineral filter based on a certain number of litres that has passed through it.

*Edit: Mineral Filter for RO - you can read about it there.

RO filtration or something else? I've got one of those plastic disk filters on the pump and a canister filter that feeds into the fridge but I've also got a lot of these...

Im not sure what type of filters we use, I was just told there are filters. We have those ibis around, but they dont park off on our roof. Our fresh water also feeds into the fridge. We in an area where your choices are dam water ((used for gardening), brack water (which most of the people here use) or your own rain water.

5l Bottles. Always. My tap water tastes like **** and sand

Pretty sure at one crazy mofo here will select "Other - Urine"
What's the difference. We getting our tap water from the Vaal this side from Emfuleni get diluted filtered sewerage. The amount of sewerage flowing into the Vaal below the Vaal Dam is frightening. No tap water only RO filtered for our household.

@bwana
It would also be interesting to know where people are, who respond to the poll.
I suspect those who live in metro's hardly have issues with tap-water quality vs those living in smaller cities or towns, where the ANC have fscked up the drinking water supply processes.

DO NOT, MY FRIENDS, BECOME ADDICTED TO WATER. IT WILL TAKE HOLD OF YOU, AND YOU WILL RESENT ITS ABSENCE.

Depends. Mountain water, tap, bottled, filtered, vagina. You know... whatever is available.

Would be nice but there's just no space for all the provinces. :o
