Any of the MTN guys able to give some enlightenment?
I've just received my invoices from iTalk.
On wife's phone there are some confusing charges.
Under National Calls, there are a few calls made to 083 123 6701, all are zero seconds in duration, but charged at R52.62!
I phoned the number from my phone, and get the standard MTN voice response that the number does not exist.... so then... howcum I get charged for it, and how does the billing work, at >R50 for zero call lenth

083 123 xxxx numbers are not "normal" voice numbers, they are VAS rated numbers. But AFAIK no call should cost R52.62, even for a full 60 seconds. Maybe lay a complaint with the billing department.

Hope you get it sorted buddy, looks like MTN upped their call charges:)

I keep getting 0 second calls aswell, fortunately only about 5 a month each costing 79c???

He/she/it bought stuff of MTN loaded i guess with vat sounds like R 60.00 a shot.

Games maybe ?

Just a guess though

cool thanx for the info, ... so I'll go lay into wife & kids with the whip then :D
Well, my description of R52 not 100% correct, some were R17.54, some R8.77, etc, totaling +-R52
but then perhaps MTN should come up with a different description other than "National Calls".... would save the Client Services guys having to waste time on these queries.... since these friggin extra curricular services are getting more common, perhaps the cellulas should start getting a VAS description?
If it was put under SMS charges, I wud've figured it was these games/ringtones/pics, etc

It generally is set under the bill as MTB SUB but if one orders the content using the Ivr it gets interpretted as such:)
