I'm planning on buying a PS3, mainly for Blu-ray playback and also using it to stream video from my PC, etc. Gaming for me nice to have, not main purpose.

Where is best place ( best price) to buy currently? I've been checking the web today - plenty of info on PS3 but very little info on where to buy. Even online stores not really selling them??

Please advise

Game - PS3 80GB, Console+Dual Shock 3 Controller R4999.00

I bought mine a few weeks ago using my Edgars card and CNA's special of R5699 with Killzone 2 and its the latest hardware version.

Paying it off R1100 a month for the next 6 months, interest free.

I bought mine for exactly the same reason, I got the 300 movie bundle deal. What they don't tell you on the box though, is that you get a free blu ray remote with it! :D

I bought mine at CNA for R4999, with my Edgars Cash card. The card gives you R50 back for every R700 spent, which means I got R350 back in vouchers. Not bad.

I tried that but they would only give me R3500 over 6m interest free but they were quite happy to give me R7000 over 12m at 37% or something insane interest.

They said I needed to earn more to qualify for more. I'm 22 and get just under R18k with no debt.

WTF.

Don't. Buy. On. Credit.

Has this recession taught you nothing?

Lol yes a typo.

Recession would only apply if there was an interest rate being hiked which there isn't in this case.

When did you buy it? Are these bundles (300 movie + remote) still available? It would make sense for me to buy the movie bundle if it includes the remote, even if I dont like the 300 movie.

Will all the 300 movie bundles include the remote, or was it only the specific store that ran a promo. Was the box still sealed when you opened it to find remote?

Also, does this bundle include the Dual Shock 3 Controller?

Regards,

I bought mine at CNA in Canal Walk, CT about 3 or 4 months ago. The box was sealed and made no mention of the remote, it only advertises 300. I was really surprised when I opened the box and found the remote inside. It also comes with the dual shock 3 wireless control.

Not sure if they're still available. It was a white box with 300 advertised all over it.

Thanks, will phone around.

Did the 300 movie bundle also include a HDMI cable? As I understand it, a HDMI cable is not usually include with a PS3. Reading a bit up on other overseas move bundles, the HDMI cable is included.

No cable in the box, they cost about R150 for a 3m.

I hope you get sorted.
