Where to buy Windows Server 2016

Server 2016 was released on 12 October. Yet I can not find a South African store selling it.
Any idea when it will hit our shores?

Will be easiest to buy from a VAR, that sources it from Microsoft. I'm not sure this will be on the shelves in IC soon?

Hahaha...for sure. But there are many ways to skin this cat. If OP would give more details etc. we can get him this product within days. But alas......

Another way would be to download and test the 180 day trial and then buy it in a few months time when you know it works for you.

I would need the disc and the key.
We want to move our server over from Windows 2008 to 2016.
I would need Standard edition.

Yes. There's also a possibility of extending the trial period with re-arms. I haven't tried it with this version but it did work with previous versions.

I would consider going to windows 2012 r2 for now. Its scary jumping onto a newly released server edition before all the bugs are worked out... but maybe that is just me being paranoid with potential additional admin created by being on the latest.

You can buy it locally for around R3K per 5 CAL's.

I would suggest buying this on a SPLA.

Cheapest way of doing it by far. A few R100 per month depending on the amount of cores. No CAL's required.
