Where to find Gpx files?

I'm walking the Whale Trail near Hermanus next month. I want to have the trail on my phone to check directions using the Gpx Viewer app. There used to be Gpx files for hikers, trail runners and mountain bikers all over the Web but I can't find them.
Any ideas other than these expensive subscription services (AllTrails) that want to lock you in for a year?

Can’t you make your own GPX file exported from Google Maps or Google Earth?

Yes, but it won't be as accurate as a track made by a hiker. A "small" error on Google Earth can lead you badly astray which is what I don't want. I can get lost all by myself

Also try all trails

i paid for it you can use free version no DL paid is worth it though

Oh lol I see you mentioned expensive subs like all trails Its USD 29 a year that is NOT expensive at all especially considering what you are getting - literally all the trails of the world and community content. It has come in handy sooo many times on poorly marked hikes that I cannot recommend it enough.

The only whale trail I can find on the internet is in De Hoop nature reserve, which doesn't look like it's anywhere near hermanus.

Anyway, I have a link to the .gpx route if it happens to be the one you want.

@S564 - I see R434.99 for a year on my app?? I don't mind paying for value-added services, but coralling user-generated content behind a paywall upsets me.

EDIT: OK, there is also a monthly option that I missed
