Which 22"

and digitalsaonline has it on special for R2640 incl vat until the 21st.

I saw a panel at IC over the weekend but it looked kind of fuzzy. This may be becuase they were running different panels from diffent sizes and brand with the same image on it.
My question is how good is the clarity and definition of the image that the Samsung 226BW displays?
Secondly, if I can only get a C panel. Can I adjust it so that I wont be irritated every time I see it, thinking I should rather have searched harder for an S panel?

THe LG and the Samsung are both great

avoid the acer and the Benq like our health minister.

it is too late now to find the S panel samsung, as u cant tell what panel it is without opening the back of the monitor, unless you find an old dusty one in someone's store room...

Save yourself the trouble, and get the LG226wtq, about the same cost, hassle free to set up and no panel lottery issues (and no ghosting either..)

Anybody here with Samsung 226bw c panel and happy with it?

bobdihi, I read on an international forum that if you play around with the settings you can get any of the S, A and C panel to look the same with true colours. I cannot however prove any of it.

Also read the some guy phoned a Saumsung techie and they said theyre all the same and that the 3 different panel letters indicate where it was made:

S = South Korea
A = Mexico
C = China

Not sure how true this is either...

Hi. From what I understand now ... you can't tell the difference because the stopped putting the letters down :( ...

On the first point this is not completely true.You can probably vastly improve the colour on your monitor by adjusting colours but the S panel for example will have a better colour reproduction than either the A or the C panel.

One the second point..that is complete rubbish! The S,A or C panels stand for the manufacturer(the panel they used).
S=Samsung
A=Au optronics or something
C= Chei mai
And yes the new stock have had all the panel info from the back removed so you can't tell.According to samsumg all new panels are now s panels...if you want to believe them.But you will be hard pressed to find anyone on this forum(who owns one) who doesn't like this monitor.
