Really? This is the first time I have heard about galaxy and been hearing of chaintech for years...

Well afaik all the 7900's at the moment are straight reference cards with a different sticker stuck on the fan or if the not the sticker just the cooler and fan, does "brand" actually make that much difference?

The GPU is the same. But the way it's used may differ. The type and layout of the PCB can differ. The quality of the other components used plays a roll as well.
