which address do you give to amazon and google?

Amazon has asked for my address details so i can purchase a game online. I'm aware that they sell to South Africa at the moment but The Interview, for instance was not available for download from YouTube in South Africa. There were ways around this so it didn't really matter, but what if Amazon or Google decide not to supply this country.

What have you done? Do you give your actual address or make up a USA address?

All the above is apart from the privacy aspect.

I have 2 amazon accounts, one for digital items with a us address and one for other products with a local address.

I have one of those re-mailer USA addresses (so it is actually a legitimate address and the remailer will contact me if anything does turn up there) . So on Amazon i use the USA address for most things and if i do need to order something physical, i change to my SA address for the transaction . Unfortunately in most cases the items could not be shipped to SA anyway, so i actually rarely complete purchases for non-digital items on amazon.

It is all on one account though, never had hassles.

I have a re-mailer address for stuff I *reeeeally* want but don't ship here. 99% of the time amazon ships fine. For digital stuff I use Unotelly and/or have a fake US address(it's usually the remailers anyway)

I always use an Oregon address for digital purchases since they don't have sales tax. Don't know if it actually makes a difference to the price, but I like to think it does.
I actually went as far as to go into Google streetview in Portland and look for a vacant lot in one of the suburbs.
