Which antivirus software do you use?

Windows Defender has improved by leaps and bounds in the last few years... makes it hard to actually justify others and i don't want things controlling my browser. My daily is a Mac anyway, but for Windows machines i have Defender is awesome.

Only Windows Defender. Never had any issues. I tried others in the past but all slow down there PC, so in fact those act more like a virus than a defence.

Don't need an anti-virus if I reimage my PC every few weeks using Macrium Reflect. The restore process takes about 5 minutes

Had an annoying malware that embedded itself into the registry and deep in the temp files after someone opened an email attachment they weren't supposed to. Windows Defender did fokol.

Once I got rid of it I uploaded it to one of those cloud analyzers and Kaspersky was one of the very few that actually knew it was malware. I've used them since then.

Trend Micro (since I get a free license for 3 devices) and common sense.

None...(dual boot with mint)

Always use a non-root user. Password protect that extra default admin user windows is forcing on you. It is disabled (with no password) but you should know windows can enable **** whenever they feel like it.

Stop thinking that virusses/trojans are these magic clever things. They are just software.

AV is the dangerous virus you need to look out for. It is literally a trojan that you trust. It scans everything on your pc, knows where you going everywhere on the internet and enjoys root access privileges as a 3rd party.

Any smart attack against you will happens there.

This. Sometimes, forum members send a link their Defender or whatever hasn't detected. When I try opening it, Kaspersky immediately detects it and denies the link.

I particularly like their encrypted browser that automatically opens the moment you type in a bank URL.
