Which Asus Mobo?

Which of theses two would y'all recommend:

ASUS Maximus II Formula - P45 - 16 phase pwr

ASUS Rampage Formula - X48 - 8 phase pwr

If you’re really thinking about going down the Crossfire path, we would be highly recommending that you spend the extra money to go to an X38 or X48 based motherboard over the P45. Of course, if you’re not then it doesn’t really matter. With one card the P45 runs at x16, which is exactly what you want.

I'd like to stick with my 4GB of DDR2 667 and my E2180 until i upgrade to quad..

I dunno...the x48 is a better board by any standard I think. It depends on your budget. You might desire the x16 pci-e performance though. rampage will overclock more.
